ABC’s The Middle (3.0/9) and Suburgatory (2.9/8) were both flat with their most recent performances, while Modern Family (5.1/13) dropped -11% to match its season low for regular originals. Happy Endings (3.1/8, down -3%) was on par at 930p, while Revenge (2.4/6) dropped -4% and matched its season low for regular originals.
Following a repeat Criminal Minds (2.0/6), CBS’s 38th Annual People’s Choice Awards (2.5/7) delivered the show’s lowest rating ever (excluding the 2008 ceremony, which posted a 1.6/4 during the WGA strike) and was down -7% from last year’s telecast.
Following the time period premiere of Whitney (2.1/6, up +11%) at 8p, new NBC comedy Are You There, Chelsea? debuted with a 2.3/6 at 830p. Original episodes of Harry’s Law (1.4/3, up +17%) and Law & Order: SVU (2.0/5, up +5%) made gains versus their last originals five weeks ago.
