A low-power TV station serving the city that’s home to the University of Florida is about to change hands. Pending FCC approval, it will become a property held by prolific LPTV station trader Kristina Bruni.
WTBZ-LD in Gainesville, Fla., is being purchased by Bruni’s Fair Play 4U LLC.
The seller is King Forward Inc., an entity led by John Kyle II.
With Mark Denbo of Smithwick & Belendiuk serving as legal counsel, the parties agreed to a transaction in which Bruni will pay $70,000. A $17,500 deposit has been made.
There is no broker involved in this deal.
