You’d think that assurance from the Federal Reserve would have been met with cheers on Wall Street, and it was, but stocks closed mixed as traders reeled from a vote by the House of Representatives to speed up a clamp-down on credit card interest rates. Bank stocks fell and ended the day’s rally. The Dow Industrials closed up 30 points, or 0.3%, at 9,802. The S&P 500 was also up, but the Nasdaq Composite ended the session down. Broadcasters split, with radio down and TV up.
The RBR Radio Index was down 0.351, or 0.2%, at 160.276.
The TVBR Television Index was up 2.1138, or 2.1%, at 104.379.
