In mid-June, RBR+TVBR first shared the news that WMKX-FM in Brookville, Pa., and WJNG-FM in Johnsonburg, Pa., was being purchased by 7 Mountains Media through its Southern Belle licensee.

Closing has just become imminent, thanks to the FCC.

The Commission has granted the transaction, a $540,000 sale by Strattan Broadcasting, which is headed by Nathan Sharp.

Class B1 WMKX is at 105.5 MHz and reaches the famed town of Punxsutawney, in addition to DuBois; Class A WJNG at 100.5 covers areas to the north of DuBois, including St. Marys, Pa. They are branded as “Mega Rock.”

With the Strattan pair, 7 Mountains adds to a roster of stations that includes WIFT-FM in DuBois.
