It has gained attention for its ability to attract consumers with streaming advertising campaigns tied to local broadcast TV’s digital efforts. Now, Madhive has named a former Roku and Hulu executive with experience at Katz Media Group and Tribune Co. to her name its new SVP of Sales.

Kristin Wnuk is already in the role; she quietly joined Madhive in September as VP of Sales, and this announcement formalizes her position while indicating a higher post for the veteran media ad sales professional.

An attending of the 2022 Matrix Media Ad Sales Summit in Fort Lauderdale, Wnuk spent nearly three years as Head of Local, Director of Sales at Roku, exiting in September 2022 after taking the role in January 2020. Before that, Wnuk enjoyed a nearly nine-year run at Hulu, exiting as Director of Local Sales/Eastern Region in November 2019. In both roles, she launched local ad sales departments.

From October 2008-March 2011, Wnuk was an account executive for WPIX-11, then-owned by Tribune. And, from June 2002-October 2008 she served as an Account Manager for KMG’s Eagle Television Sales. In that role, Wnuk acted as an exclusive account executive for WCVB-5 in Boston and WMUR-9 in Manchester, N.H., for Hearst Television, managing more than $12 million of client revenue per year.

She began her professional career in 2000 as a Research Assistant at A.C. Nielsen, while a Northeastern University undergraduate. Wnuk is a 1998 Bronx Science graduate.

At Madhive, Wnuk will “provide an entry point for national brands and ad tech companies to leverage Madhive’s enterprise streaming TV infrastructure to execute local campaigns at national scale,” the company notes.

“The growth of streaming TV presents advertisers with unique challenges and opportunities, and Madhive is helping clients succeed in this new era of television,” Wnuk said. “I am honored to join the team to continue the company’s growth and expand on its success in local markets to equip new streaming TV buyers with a programmatic solution built specifically for streaming advertising.”

Adam Helfgott, Founder & CEO at Madhive, added, “Kristin’s industry expertise will be invaluable as we continue our hyper-growth by helping national brands value local, hi-fidelity CTV advertising differently, moving beyond the commoditization of high-value streaming inventory.”
