TORONTO — Publicly traded Francophone-focused Cogeco Media, tied to U.S. MVPD Breezeline parent Cogeco Inc., will be welcoming a new President, effective February 3. It’s a woman who most recently directed Radio-Canada, the French audio division of Canada’s CBC.

Caroline Jamet comes aboard with a resume that includes roles with L’Équipe Spectra, and with the internationally renown Montreal Jazz Festival. At Gesca, then-owner of Canada’s most-dominant French-language print publication, La Presse, she assumed business leadership for two publishing divisions and was deeply involved in the digital transformation of the newspaper.

“Caroline’s breadth of experience and engaging leadership will be invaluable as we continue to evolve and grow Cogeco Media,” said Cogeco President/CEO Frédéric Perron. “Her strategic vision, digital transformation experience, and deep understanding of the media landscape will be invaluable assets in ensuring and maintaining our ongoing success.”

Jamet commented, “With its presence across Quebec and its great reputation, it is a privilege to join Cogeco Media. I look forward to engaging with the team and continuing this work of showcasing quality content produced by renowned artisans.”
