On Monday (4/3)RBR+TVBR reported on the appeal preparations underway by the owner of WISH-8 and WNDY-20 in Indianapolis, as he sought to overturn a fresh U.S. District Court decision that thwarts his racial discrimination claims against both DirecTV and Dish Network, which have engaged in a lengthy impasse over retransmission consent agreements.

In the Dish ruling, Judge Tanya Walton Pratt discussed specifically what Dish was prepared to pay the stations’ owner, Circle City Broadcasting for compensation of bringing WISH and WNDY to subscribers.

On Friday, Pratt rejected an effort by Dish to redact from the public record that information, described in detail in her ruling.
