The broadcast television company linked to the Shapiro family for 60 years that has made MeTV Network a nationally renowned audio and video brand focused on beloved, classic content now has an expanded agreement with Dish, brining three additional digital multicast networks to the direct broadcast satellite serving provider.
The deal makes Weigel Broadcasting Co.’s MeTV Toons, Dabl and Catchy Comedy available to DISH TV customers whose set-top boxes are connected to the internet.
These channels join Weigel digital multicast networks MeTV and WEST (available via set-top box internet connection) and Start TV and Heroes & Icons (available without internet connectivity).
MeTV is also available nationwide to Sling Blue, Orange and Select package subscribers.
“We are very pleased that our diverse suite of Weigel networks are now on DISH and available to subscribers nationwide, bringing unparalleled entertainment value to the service and allowing customers to enjoy cherished classic programs across an incredible array of genres,” said Neal Sabin, Weigel Broadcasting Co.’s Vice Chairman.
