Debuting at IBC2025: A FM/HD/DAB+ Spectral Audio Processor

New Bern, N.C.-headquartered Wheatstone Corporation is exiting the IBC 2025 conference and expo with confidence that its newly introduced spectral audio processor will be embraced by radio stations around the world. Why? Big sound … and big savings are the lure.

The product demonstrated at the conference is the Neuron FM/HD/DAB+ processor.

It includes separate FM and HD/DAB+ paths; a multipath mitigator; SCAs, with a Stereo generator included; and a full-featured RBDS/RDS generator.

The new product also includes Wheatstone’s baseband192, designed for digitizing the multiplex spectrum and eliminating the analog composite interface between processing and transmission

The Neuron FM/HD/DAB+ spectral audio processor also uses patented 1/3 octave band resolution for transient peak control “without pulling down critical frequencies with it.” The result, says Wheatstone, “is the ability to drive more energy into the processor, yet maintain peak compliance for a much fuller, vibrant on-air sound.”
