The E.W. Scripps Company has named a local media sales leader to the role of Director of Sales and General Manager for the NBC and Telemundo affiliates serving the Corpus Christi, Tex., market.
Taking the position is a woman who is a native of the Texas city.
Kristen Darden took on the leadership roles for KRIS-6 and KAJA-TV in Corpus Christi on Wednesday (11/12), and is a 13 1/2-year veteran who has served as the stations’ Local Sales Manager and, before that, as Internet Director.
“Kristen brings deep connections to the Corpus Christi community along with proven strengths in strategic planning, digital transformation and budget management,” said Anita Helt, a Scripps Regional VP. “Her ability to foster strong collaboration and her genuine understanding and love of this beautiful community position her perfectly to lead our teams, delivering meaningful results for both our viewers and our advertising partners.”
