TORONTO — Its challenges have been well-documented by media across Canada, and include the June 6 revelation that Troy Reeb is no longer a member of Corus’ management leadership team.
With John Gossling now the company’s sole Chief Executive Officer and interim CFO, all eyes will be on him in one week, when Corus Entertainment Inc. reveals its fiscal Q3 2025 results.
Corus, trading on the TSX as “CJR.B” and in midday trading on Thursday was at $0.0722 CDN, will release its third quarter fiscal 2025 results on June 26.EAnd, much like U.S.-based radio station licensee Townsquare Media, it appears Gossling is an Early Bird.
That’s because a conference call with Corus’ senior management will take place at 8am Eastern.
Corus started off its 2025 fiscal year on a downbeat note, missing analysts’ earnings per share estimates by 9 cents. For fiscal Q3, five analysts estimated Corus’ EPS, resulting in a consensus estimate of -$0.04 CDN. That’s a wider loss than the -$0.01 EPS seen in fiscal Q3 2024.
Revenue is anticipated to fall by 10.2%, the analysts’ predict, with a consensus estimate coming in at $297.91 million CDN.
