Keith Murray has agreed to purchase a collection of radio stations serving a town in New Hampshire known as the gateway to Mount Washington.
Now, all he needs is regulatory approval from the FCC, which just received the paperwork from his legal counsel, John Wells King.
The stations Murray is acquiring are from the estate of Gregory L. Frizzell.
As RBR+TVBR reported one month ago, Frizzell passed away on or about October 13. This led family member Ron Frizzell to petition the New Hampshire Probate Court to make him a special administrator of his estate in a move designed to ensure the continued operation of the broadcast properties.
The FCC, and the court, said yes, giving Ron Frizzell control of Mt. Washington Radio & Gramophone LLC and its broadcast stations.
Now, Frizzell is selling them to Murray-led Conway Broadcasting for $300,000.
This will give Murray ownership of WBNC-AM & W237BX in North Conway, N.H., and WMWV-FM “Magic 104” and WVMJ-FM “Easy 95.3” in Conway, N.H.
A $100,000 deposit has been made to Frizzell, with Kenneth Cargill of Cooper Cargill Chant P.A. serving as escrow agent.
At closing, an additional $100,000 payment will be made. The remaining third of the price to be paid will be honored by a Promissory Note.
Serving as Mt. Washington’s legal counsel is John C. Trent of Putbrese, Hunsacker & Trent.
