Comrex: Now a Peplink Reseller

Broadcast equipment manufacturer Comrex has added Peplink/Pepwave modems and routers to its product sales menu — options designed to mesh with Comrex’s own IP audio and video codecs.

When combined with Comrex’s CrossLock VPN Technology, Peplink modems and routers are poised to provide customers “unbreakable link” between their remote and studio locations.

The BR-1 Mini Core is a single modem, 3-port Ethernet cellular data router with dual SIM slots for redundancy. It’s a product designed for fixed locations where a cellular data link can complement an existing Comrex Connect Modem, Wi-Fi and Ethernet connection.

The announcement comes as new updates for Comrex IP audio and video codecs were made ahead of the 2023 NAB Show in Las Vegas. ACCESS and BRIC-Link IP audio codec customers may update to firmware version 4.6 to get the latest HTML5 compatibility updates and some new features like GUI-based firmware updates and the ability to resolve URL addresses. BRIC-Link III customers have version 5.0-p2 available.

Comrex video IP codec customers (i.e. LiveShot Portable and LiveShot Rackmount) get a new HTML5-based interface for complete monitoring and control from HTML5-capable browsers.
