Comrex, the longtime designer and manufacturer of broadcast equipment, has released a new version of its “Gagl” product with a reduced feature set that allows for one-to-one connections to Comrex IP audio codecs.
Gagl Solo now offers a subset of Gagl Standard features and is designed to allow one participant on a browser to connect to the studio codec. Comrex sees it as a product designed for getting high-quality audio into the studio with ease and reduced cost.
Gagl Standard, launched in 2023, is an audio subscription service that lets remote guests
and hosts connect to ACCESS and BRIC-Link codecs using their own smart devices.
Gagl supports up to five remote contributors per session.
Comrex has also released Gagl + Hotline, a premium Gagl offering for enhanced audio from
mobile phones for customers in the United States.
