Civic Media, the operator of progressive-leaning spoken word radio stations in Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota, has promoted from within to serve as its Chief Operating Officer.
This sees CEO Sage Weil promoting Civic’s VP of Operations Kory Hartman.
At the same time, Civic is making a move to tighten its market focus by creating a two-region structure. This sees Civic Media’s President for the Southern Region Chris Moreau lead operations and strategy in the company’s southern footprint, while Civic Media Vice President for the Northern Region is Darla Isham.
Additional moves see Civic Media naming a SVP of Product, Aaron Carreno; John Scott taking the role of Vice President of Marketing; and the position of Vice President of Technology being handed to Drew Smith.
Weil stated, “This leadership restructuring reflects our commitment to providing exceptional service to our listeners and communities across our coverage areas. Each of these executives brings deep experience and a passion for local broadcasting that aligns perfectly with our mission to serve as the voice of our communities.”
Hartman added, “I’m excited about the accountability and transparency this new structure creates for both our team and the communities we serve. Having dedicated regional leadership ensures we can maintain our local focus as we grow strategically across the region.”
