Christian Sticks With Saga For Four More Years

Sister Christian
Oh the time has come
And you know that you’re the only one
To say okay
Where you going
What you looking for
You know those boys
Don’t want to play no more with you
It’s true

Those are the lyrics to a classic 1980s hair band ballad from Night Ranger, “Sister Christian.” It is featured in such classic films as Boogie Nights and could perhaps be heard on at least one Saga Communications radio station across the U.S.

For Saga, its Christian leader is one Ed Christian. And, he’s sticking around for a little bit longer.

On February 26, Christian entered into a contract extension of a deal originally struck on June 1, 2011, which extends his employment agreement from March 31, 2021 until that date in 2025.

The new deal that keeps Christian in place comes after Saga last week announced that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.30 per share.  The dividend will be paid on March 29, 2019 to shareholders of record on March 12, 2019.

With Monday’s Closing Bell on Wall Street, Saga shares were up 23 cents to $33.91.
