In a deal brokered by Ed Henson of Henson Media, an AM/FM combo in a Kentucky community — along with an FM translator — are being transferred.
As it turns out, this deal is a Choice decision. And, it follows a deal with Randy Michaels.
For $475,000, Choice Radio Corporation is assigning the licenses of WYWY-AM, WKKQ-FM and translator W227CD in Barbourville, Ky., to F.T.G. Broadcasting and First Corbin Realty LLC.
If the buyer’s name sounds familiar, it is because it is Key Broadcasting Corporation, a/k/a Forcht Broadcasting.
This is the operation that sees Michael Tarter as President/CEO and Terry Forcht as Chairman.
The full payment is due at closing.
W227CD will continue to retransmit WYWY.

Still, this deal is all about a local “Icon.”
