NMPA President/CEO David Israelite and Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) Executive Director Bart Herbison have spoken on the decision by both Amazon and Spotify to file a notice of appeal of the recent Copyright Royalty Board (CRB) ruling raising songwriters’ rates for streaming and other mechanical uses by more than 44%.
