One Week Away: A Celebration of Service to America

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The 20th annual Celebration of Service to America Awards, produced by the NAB Education Foundation (NABEF), will be held next Tuesday (6/12) at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium.


Recognized as one of Washington’s top events, the gala will honor radio and television broadcasters from across the country for exceptional community service.

Multi-platinum country music star Sara Evans will receive NABEF’s highest honor, the Service to America Leadership Award.

Members of Congress and other officials will be in attendance and serve as award presenters.

The reception is from 6pm-7pm, with the dinner and awards presentation from 7-9pm.

The Celebration of Service to America Awards are sponsored and produced by NABEF with support from the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), Bonneville International and Hearst Television.

In recent years, Jon Bon Jovi; Sharon Stone; Gary Sinise; Paul Simon; Stevie Wonder; Glenn Close; Jeff Bridges; Quincy Jones; Sir Elton John; Bill Clinton; Laura Bush; and Muhammad Ali; among others, have been presented with the Celebration of Service to America Leadership Award at the event.
