AI-focused technology company Veritone Inc. has earned a multi-year contract extension agreement with CBS News, allowing the Paramount Global unit continued access to products and services it has been using while expanding the partnership in a notable way.
The new deal includes local news content from CBS Owned Stations.
For CBS News and Stations, continued access to Veritone’s aiWARETM enterprise AI platform, which it says enhances access to its extensive licensed content across numerous distribution channels, is a result of the contract renewal.
“The advanced AI capabilities of aiWARE index the CBS library with accurate, time-correlated metadata to enable advanced and precise search and retrieval, helping researchers and creatives to quickly find specific scenes, quotes or highlights, and automate rights management and delivery,” CBS News notes.
