The odd-year comparables for television groups are always challenging, and it was far too big of a hole for Media General to dig out of after last year’s epic political spending. But it did show growth in its core advertising categories.
Congressional Republican leaders getting hit on TV
Politico reports that a political action committee has purchased a rather large advertising flight running in selected Kentucky and Ohio media markets. The ads take aim at Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Speaker John Boehner (R-OH).
The ads are coming from Patriot Majority, described by Politico as a Democratic-leaning organization.
