This individual, Edward F. McLaughlin, in 1988 became the producer of The Rush Limbaugh Show. Today, he's credited with making Limbaugh a household name. It's one of his catch-phrases, and anyone who has listened to his nationally syndicated radio program will probably laugh with glee. Elvis Duran is getting the honor.

Why Radio May Need An Attitude Adjustment NOW

"There is only one problem with radio today. One. So, let’s solve it." What exactly is that problem? Media Information Bureau contributor Kelly Orchard, M.A. LMFT thinks she has the answer. It's all about people, as she writes in this exclusive column, "Trouble, Turmoil and Transition: Radio Needs An Attitude Adjustment NOW!" It's written by a second-generation broadcaster who nearly died of heart failure. It's a tale of how you, and others, can be prevented from succumbing to fear.

Leaner Emmis Reflects On ‘A Disappointing Quarter’

Emmis Communications saw its total net revenue dip in its fiscal Q3 2018, as the radio broadcasting company and parent of NextRadio creator TagStation swung to a net loss of $279,000 (2 cents per diluted share), from net income of $17.7 million ($1.43). But, it's tough to compare Emmis today to the company it was in fiscal Q3 2017, when it had more radio stations in its stable and a host of magazines it no longer owns.

FCC Seeks Fines From Two Texas Operators

Two Lone Star broadcasters have each received a Notice of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture for failing to abide by the FCC's rules. One of the broadcasters failed to file a timely license renewal application for an FM station carrying the once-famous call letters of a Northern California rocker. The other broadcaster was found to be operating a radio station from a location that it wasn't authorized to use. In the latter case, the broadcaster's renewal application triggered an informal objection from Alpha Media.
