An auction is being conducted that will likely award the noncommercial FM radio station serving Salt Lake City to the highest bidder. Greg Guy of Patrick Communications is overseeing the process.

In May 2020, RBR+TVBR reported on the acquisition in a court-sanctioned auction of WKEZ-FM 96.9 in Tavernier, Fla., by Michael Stapleford, and his Magnum Broadcasting of State College, Pa. Now, an AM and an FM once owned to the company that owned WKEZ are poised to rejoin its former sibling, thanks to a fresh deal filed on Friday with the FCC for regulatory approval.
Lubbock Public Media Seeks FCC Approval For FM Deal
The entity that in July 2021 acquired KRBL-FM 105.7 in Idalou, Tex., in a bankruptcy auction is agreeing to transfer the property to a group that will convert the facility to non-commercial status. The buyer's roster of directors includes Brad Moran, the heir to Ramar Communications.
An Andrulonis Grabs An FM From Clendenin
As 2020 began, RBR+TVBR shared the news that the North Carolina corporation led by President Jeff Andrulonis had completed its purchase of an FM radio station in Bolivia, N.C. The purchase brought the station into a group of properties comprised of two FMs and an AM in coastal South Carolina. Now, an Andrulonis family member is poised to gain ownership of that very station — again.

Six Senators Sign On To ‘AM Radio for Every Vehicle’ Act
Congress is back in session, and the NAB is wasting no time in bringing the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act back in the spotlight, as the industry's biggest advocate on Capitol Hill works hard on behalf of such members as iHeartMedia to ensure all on the road can maintain access to kHz-band broadcasts from Honolulu to San Juan. ABC Audio Unveils Post-Skyview Separation Plan

SBS’s On-Air Stations Added To Audacy App
The company may have its own audio streaming platform in LaMúsica.com, but that isn't stopping Spanish Broadcasting System (SBS) from making its 13 broadcast radio stations available across other streaming platforms, widening its availability. As of today, the FMs the Miami-headquartered company owns in the mainland U.S. and in Puerto Rico can be accessed through the platform formerly known as Radio.com.

Tim Eby was dismissed from his role as General Manager in September 2020 after a group of multicultural producers and reports called him out for actions deemed racist.

An Idaho AM Poised To Go Dark … For Now
As first reported by Streamline Publishing's Radio Ink, The McVey Entertainment Group "regrets to inform the public" that KRLC-AM 1350 and K226CT at 93.1 MHz will cease operations on Thursday night. A lease agreement for the AM's tower has ended, and getting a new tower site is proving to be challenging.
