In late 2018, the radio broadcasting company led by Don Davis used the "Breeze" brand for a Smooth Jazz format airing on Santa Fe, N. Mex., stations, to protect the city of Grants, N. Mex., from any brand encroachment. Vanguard began simulcasting his "Breeze" on an FM in the city. Now, Davis is cementing the brand there by gaining full ownership of the Class C3 facility.
License Revocation Nixed For A Georgia AM
In mid-January, a silent AM radio station licensed for 10kw of power from 1 tower received what appeared to be nothing short of its death sentence from the Media Bureau and the FCC’s Office of the Managing Director. In October 2019, RBR+TVBR was first to report on the sale of a full-power digital TV station licensed to a small town in New York's Adirondack Mountains that is poised to become a Burlington, Vt.-Plattsburgh, N.Y. DMA sibling to a big CBS affiliate with reach into Montreal and much of Quebec. That deal has now closed.
