After nearly 12 years in New York's Capital Region, he became a member of the Nexstar Media Group family. With his transition from Media General, he'd move to Charlotte, where he's served as the VP/GM of its two TV stations in the Queen City. Now, this broadcast TV industry veteran is heading to the corporate office to take on a regional leadership post.

Last week, veteran conservative Talk radio host Larry Elder revealed that he seeks to become a Republican candidate for California governor. He is not on the preliminary list of 41 candidates, however. Sacramento has a reason. Elder isn't buying it, and has sued California's office of the secretary of state.

The individual who will direct the marketing strategies for each of the business units within FOX Entertainment, including the FOX broadcast TV network and free AVOD platform Tubi has been selected. It's the man who presently serves as EVP of Marketing for FOX Entertainment.

Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting Corporation, the owner and operator of Adult Alternative WYEP-FM and NPR Member station WESA-FM, has appointed a Vice President of Broadcasting.

The national news program from Sinclair Broadcast Group has announced who will be seated in the anchor chairs come September 27 for its late newscasts. One individual is returning to Sinclair to become a co-anchor. The other is a Sunshine State veteran who left broadcast TV in March 2018.

Sinclair Broadcast Group has created a position that will see an individual lead the company's information security program across all business functions, charged with creating and executing Sinclair's security vision, strategy and operating model across its entire portfolio.

The new directors were voted in during the recent Foundation’s Board of Directors’ meeting, which was held virtually. “We are delighted to welcome Patrick and Hilton to our Board,” said Scott Herman, Chairman of the Broadcasters Foundation of America.

The Museum of Broadcast Communications has revealed the selection of the Radio Hall of Fame 2021 nominees, comprised of 24 people and shows in six categories. The nominees were chosen by the Radio Hall of Fame Nominating Committee, with input from the radio industry and listeners. 

The man selected to take on John Fullam's duties following his early 2020 retirement has departed the company formerly known as Entercom. As a result, Fullam is back, serving as the interim SVP/Market Manager of Audacy's Denver stations.

One has been the EVP of Operations at Cumulus Media since April 2017 and has been with the company since the end of 2014. The other individual is also a EVP of Operations at the audio media company and has been there since January 2013. Both executives are now getting presidential appointments from Mary Berner.

Nexstar Media Group has named a new VP and GM of its media operations in DMA No. 82. There, the company operates the FOX and The CW Network affiliates. She will begin her new duties immediately.

Comscore has lured the former Sales and Client Relations head at Tunity to lead its commercial relationship with Publicis Groupe. In doing so, Comscore is selecting an individual who brings more than 20 years of business media and sales success across local television stations, networks and advertising agencies.

On February 1, it was revealed that "later in 2021" the Sports Format Captain for what is now known as Audacy — and Brand Manager for one of its most iconic properties — will step down. On May 12, the exact date for his departure from WFAN-AM & FM in New York and CBS Sports Radio was revealed. Now, that day has come.

The MIW Airblazer Award stems from an alliance formed in 2015 between MIW (formerly known as the MIW Group) and Morning Show Bootcamp (MSBC). "The recipient is carefully selected, as is tradition, by the prior year’s winner and is recognized for her dedication and contributions to the broadcast industry and to the communities she serves," MIW notes.

For the past 11 years, he's run a New York advisory firm consulting such entities as Premiere Networks, Viacom, Westwood One, and GeoBroadcast Solutions. Now, Gary Krantz is joining an investment bank focused on the media, marketing, information and technology industries.
