Gray Gets FCC OK For A Wichita Upgrade
In the Kansas city of Wichita, Gray Television owns the market's CBS affiliate, KWCH-12, and the CW Network affiliate, KSCW-33. Until now, KSCW has used VHF channel 12 for its digital signal. This led Gray to ask the FCC if it could move KSCW to a UHF channel, thus improving market coverage. The Media Bureau, on delegated authority, just said yes.

One month ago, a radio broadcasting company led by David Rowell signed off on an asset purchase agreement that will give it ownership of a Class B FM located between Victoria and metropolitan Houston, Tex. Now, Rowell's buying a second FM in the region, a 100kw Class C1 property licensed to Bay City, Tex., covering the same areas as the Class B property.
