Mission Broadcasting, the entity led by Dennis Thatcher, has become the latest station owner to become entangled in yet another retransmission consent stalemate. It involves Dish, and comes as Mission is consolidating stations owned by various licensees that enjoy shared service agreements with Nexstar Media Group.

For two decades, he fought Entercom to reverse the 1996 sale of what is today KUDL-FM in Sacramento. Two years ago, he was ordered to pay ASCAP some $1.5 million in unpaid royalty fees. In July, the situation worsened for Ed Stolz, with his three stations being placed in receivership for ignoring the ASCAP order. Now, things are even worse for Stolz.
