She’s been with iHeartMedia since serving as an account executive, and has risen through the sales ranks. Now, Care Jones has been promoted to a role in which she’ll gain oversight of 4 small and mid-sized New England markets surrounding Boston.
As a Market President, Jones will lead iHeart’s stations in Providence; Manchester and Portsmouth, N.H.; and Cape Cod, Mass. This means Jones will handle all market operations, leading strategy and revenue performance across the four distinct Nielsen Audio-rated areas.
Jeff Thomas, an iHeartMedia Division President who Jones reports to, commented, “Over the past three months I have had the opportunity to work with Care and I can say without hesitation that she is the best person for this important role. In Providence, Market No. 45, four iHeartMedia stations are rated — Classic Hits WWBB “B101,” Rock WHJY-FM, Hot Adult Contemporary WSNE “NOW 93.3,” and Talk WHJJ-AM.
Manchester is ranked No. 191. Here, iHeartMedia owns heritage Rocker WGIR-FM and Talk WGIR-AM; Portsmouth-Dover, between Boston and Portland, Me. and ranked No. 121, is home to top-ranked iHeartMedia heritage Rocker WHEB-FM and Top 40 sibling WERZ-FM, plus Talk WQSO-FM, Country WTBU-FM and Sports Talk WPKX-AM.
