It’s a Quad Cities, Iowa-Illinois headquartered developer of a broadcast industry AI-enhanced traffic, production, and creative workflow platform. Now, it has brought to market “an advanced AI assistant” already active within the platform.
For Fletcher Ford and Workflow Corporation, the Broadcast Buddy product being offered to broadcast media is designed for those seeking greater efficiency, improved creativity, and stronger operational support.
While Broadcast Buddy has been available to existing users for several months, a formal product launch came on November 24.
“Broadcast Buddy is the modern radio station’s assistant, and today we are formally acknowledging the meaningful impact it has already had across our user base,” said Ford, who serves as Chief Executive Officer of Workflow. “Our clients have embraced this technology because it supports the day-to-day work that slows stations down. Teams are smaller, expectations are higher, and time is tighter than ever. Broadcast Buddy helps bridge that gap in a way no other system in broadcasting currently can.”
Workflow Chief Innovation Officer Shane Zammit added, “Artificial intelligence should strengthen radio, not replace the people who make it meaningful. Broadcast Buddy was built to handle the repetitive, time-consuming, and administrative tasks that limit productivity. By giving stations a reliable, integrated assistant, we help broadcasters focus on creativity, localism, and client service — the areas where human talent remains irreplaceable. Broadcast Buddy is the strongest demonstration yet of our commitment to responsible AI leadership.”
Ford has been an owner of radio stations in Iowa and downstate Illinois for more than a decade. He became a partner in Radio Workflow in 2020 and in March 2021 was appointed CEO.
