‘Boost Idaho’ A Swift Success For Boise Radio Group

On Monday morning, a group of locally owned radio stations serving Boise, Idaho, announced a new initiative designed to help local businesses get the word out that they are open, and what type of services and products they offer.

Ten hours later, the stations closed the program. All of the spots made available for needy businesses were claimed.

Impact Radio Group provided a free, no strings attached radio schedule to 100 qualified businesses.

As first reported by Streamline Publishing’s Radio Ink, each eligible business would receive a week’s schedule of 210 30-second commercials to run across all seven of the company’s Boise radio stations.

What happened?

“We had an overwhelming response with all spots claimed after going live,” CEO Darrell Calton said. “This shows us how great the need is for our business community.”

Calton added that he is “eagerly working” to make additional services available, and that he hopes to bring Iliad Media Group’s Twin Falls, Idaho stations online with the program soon.

Impact is a division of parent company Iliad.
