Slovakia steered the US stock markets for a second day. After rejecting a Euro-zone bailout plan on Tuesday, Slovakia’s major political parties struck a deal Wednesday to get the country onboard for the bailout. That news was welcomed on Wall Street and pushed stock higher. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 103 points, or 0.9%, to 11,519. Broadcasting stocks also enjoyed the Slovakia boost.
The RBR Radio Index was up 5.286, or 2%, to 270.186.
The TVBR Television Index was up 7.992, or 3.8%, to 216.576.
