In the regional sports network world, branded channel names are now in vogue, as the FanDuel Sports Network is the current name of what was previously Bally Sports via a licensing deal with Sinclair Inc. subsidiary Main Street Sports.

Now, a radio company has struck a naming rights agreement of its own, and it sees the rebranding of its sports wagering-focused spoken word brand, effective today.

Introducing The BetMGM Network, formerly Audacy Inc.’s BetQL Network.

It is thanks to a “strengthening” of an ongoing relationship between the audio content creation and distribution company with majority ownership held by Soros Fund Management and iGaming and sports betting giant BetMGM.

The BetMGM Network already delivers roughly 100 hours of original weekly content, including flagship shows like “You Better You Bet,” “BetMGM Tonight,” “Bet Sweats” and “The Daily Tip,” to Audacy.

Now, the “BetMGM” name is getting plastered on the broadcast radio stations airing the shows, along with other content that fills out the day’s program schedule.

“The rebranding to The BetMGM Network reflects our shared commitment and partnership to delivering best-in-class Wagertainment alongside an influential sports gaming powerhouse like BetMGM,” said Mitch Rosen, Vice President of BetMGM Network and a veteran of the sports radio business. “There’s no better place to kick off the next chapter of our sports betting content than live all week in New Orleans ahead of the professional football championship.”

BetMGM Chief Marketing Officer Casey Hurbis added, “BetMGM and Audacy have had a long-standing partnership, and the rebranding to The BetMGM Network underscores the success we’ve experienced. We look forward to launching this new phase of our relationship with all eyes and ears on New Orleans.”
