There were some ups and downs among media stocks in mid-week trading. But, some are likely scratching their heads as to the big dip seen by one of the radio industry’s brightest stars in recent weeks.

Beasley Broadcast Group shares slid by more than 9% on Wednesday, retreating to its lowest level since early December. There was no clear reason for the dip, bringing BBGI shares down to $11.50.

Also down on Wednesday is Townsquare Media. The company with stations in mid-size and small markets was down 26 cents, finishing the day at $7.65.

Moving upward was Saga Communications. The newly pure-play radio operation saw its stock gain 30 cents, to $42.50.

Also up: Nexstar Media Group, with a 10 cent jump to $79.80.
