Beasley Media Group‘s local leader in charge of its radio stations in Monmouth-Ocean and the Middlesex-Union-Essex, N.J., Nielsen Audio markets is readying for retirement.
This will see the departure of Dan Finn as SVP/Regional Market Manager for the publicly traded company’s New Jersey radio group.
Finn’s plans will see him exit Beasley at the end of March. He joined Beasley in 2016, through the company’s merger With Greater Media. He initially was hired by the former radio station ownership group in 2002 as Vice President and Regional General Manager, rising to SVP and Regional General Manager five years later.
Early in his career, Finn in New York at “Beautiful Music” stations WPAT-AM & FM (licensed to Paterson, N.J.), and at WYNY-FM. He later joined New Jersey Broadcasting, Inc. and rose to the position of President/Chief Operating Officer. Following Greater Media’s acquisition of New Jersey Broadcasting in 2001, Finn continued to lead operations for WDHA-FM, WMTR-AM, WWTR-AM, WMGQ-FM, WCTC-AM, WRAT-FM, and WJRZ-FM.
Finn has held multiple leadership positions on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Broadcasters Association (NJBA), including Treasurer and several terms as Chairman. He also served on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Ad Club and New York Market Radio (NYMRAD). In 2014, Finn was named to the Radio Advertising Bureau’s (RAB) Sales Advisory Committee (SAC) and was a founding member of The City University of New York’s CSI School of Business’ Dean’s External Executive Board.
