Broadcast Electronics, known for its line of transmitters for AM, FM, HD Radio, and TV as well as its media software, is ready to show off its MTX Compact series FM Transmitter platform once the 2026 NAB Show New York conference and expo commences on Wednesday.
MTX delivers a compact FM transmitter platform with new software capabilities. The MTX series is available with power levels up to 1kw and features the latest LDMOS RF device and switching power supply technology, enabling improved power density, reduced energy costs, and a compact 2RU footprint, the company notes.
Control and monitoring are streamlined with a HTML-5 responsive GUI incorporating multi-level security – including being compliant to the new FCC requirements – and SNMPv3 connectivity.
Meanwhile, the MTX platform introduces Content Gateway, which offers new options for managing content at a transmitter site.
Additionally, BE has partnered with Inovonics to bring FM & HD Radio off air receiving capabilities to feed translators or for advanced confidence monitoring via MTX’s Content Gateway.
“The new MTX Compact FM transmitter series continues the customer focused innovation and energy we are bringing to BE, delivering cost effective tools to help our customers connect with their listeners in an evolving market.” said BE President/CEO Rich Redmond. “MTX and the Content Gateway capabilities – including our partnership with Inovonics – are at the heart of the Radio First innovation BE delivers to broadcasters being the only partner providing complete workflow solutions that enable the creation, monetization, distribution and delivery of content for radio stations.”
Broadcast Electronics will be housed at Booth 456 in the Javits Center.
