Ball Rises To DOS At Gray Media’s K.C. Duo

Since December 2021, he has served as the Multimedia Sales Manager for Gray Media‘s two television stations serving the Kansas City market. Now, he’s being promoted to the role of Director of Sales.


Earning the promotion is Tyler Ball, who steps into the role after more than nine years at KCTV-TV and KSMO-TV.

At the stations, Ball rose through the ranks, serving as Local Sales Manager and, before that, as Digital Sales Manager.

“Tyler’s leadership style, deep industry knowledge, and passion for innovation make him the ideal person to guide our sales team into the future,” said Curtis Miles, General Manager for the Gray Media stations in Kansas City. “He has consistently delivered results while fostering a culture of kindness, accountability and collaboration.”

Ball added, “I’m honored to take on this new challenge and grateful for the opportunity to lead Gray Digital Media KC and such a talented team. KCTV5 has a strong legacy of excellence, and I look forward to continuing that tradition while helping our clients and our station grow.”

Before joining Gray Media, Ball served as an Account Executive at Time Warner Cable. From August 2006 through June 2013, he held a similar role at Scripps Networks Interactive.
