The FCC on Tuesday (1/17) confirmed that bidding in Stage 4 of the forward auction will commence at 10 a.m. Eastern today.
Twin two-hour bidding sessions will be seen — one at 10 a.m. Eastern and another at 2 p.m. Eastern.
This schedule will be used until further notice … or at the end of the incentive auction.
When’s that? The Commission may be hinting that it’s very, very soon.
“If bidding in Stage 4 of the forward auction has not yet concluded, bidding will be suspended on Friday for Inauguration Day, which is a Federal holiday in the Washington, D.C. area,” a note to participants in the incentive auction reads. “Bidding will then resume on Monday.”
Given the wording, one of two things is set to transpire: Stage 5 of the Reverse Auction will begin next week. Or, as many are hoping will happen, the incentive auction will conclude.
