In August 2025, the publicly traded parent company of Hispanic consumer-focused Estrella Media and of venerable New York radio brands WBLS and “HOT 97” named him Chief Revenue Officer, reporting to CEO Albert Rodriguez.

Now, he’s rising from CRO to President as the company’s Chief Financial Officer departs.

As first reported by Streamline Publishing’s Radio Ink, Brian Fisher is restructuring its executive team, as the Board of Directors appointed Fisher as MediaCo’s President on Monday.

Prior to becoming CRO, Fisher was formerly Sr. Vice President of Video Sales for MediaCo’s TV, digital, and linear platforms. Before joining the company, he held senior roles at Disney, Tribune, and McCann-Erickson, where he helped develop and scale advertising solutions for national and multicultural brands.

Fisher was recently featured in the InFOCUS Video Podcast.

Rodriguez continues as Chief Executive Officer, as Roberto Castro has taken the interim Chief Financial Officer role at MediaCo following the departure of Debra DeFelice, who also served as EVP/Treasurer.

DeFelice’s departure comes after signing a multi-year contract extension in December 2025, one month after rising to the top financial role at MediaCo.

Castro has served as Sr. Vice President and Corporate Controller since April, following a nearly 24-year career at Spanish Broadcasting System, where he rose to Vice President of Finance in 2015 and worked closely with Rodriguez. He previously spent more than six years at DIRECTV Latin America in accounting and audit roles and started his career as an auditor at Coopers & Lybrand.
