When it came to selecting a tech product to bring to audiences live coverage of the “Unity Concert for America,” Philadelphia’s Independence Day celebration celebrating America 250, the ABC Owned Stations property serving the Cradle of Liberty went with an offering on the market for one year.
It’s the media and entertainment industry’s first mobile production truck “purpose-built” around ARRI Alexa 35 Live camera systems.
And, it was WPVI-6 in Philadelphia‘s selection to bring the holiday-themed programming to viewers.
The camera systems debuted in summer 2025 from TNDV, which is pleased with the industry’s interested in its product, designed to aid cinematic multi-camera broadcasts, live entertainment productions and theatrical concert films.
Thus far, Aspiration 35 has supported the nationally televised Stand Up To Cancer fundraising special. There’s also KIDZ BOP Live: The Concert Movie, released in cinemas earlier this year.
For TNDV, the truck’s growing popularity reflects in part its strategic partnership with Nashville-based dbV Rentals.
“When we introduced Aspiration 35, our goal wasn’t simply to build another production truck,” said TNDV President Rob Devlin. “We wanted to create a purpose-built cinematic production platform backed by the people, workflows and partnerships that allow clients to confidently tackle the industry’s most demanding productions. One year later, we’ve proven that vision across live network broadcasts, theatrical releases and large-scale concert productions.”
For the Unity Concert for America, produced by ESM Productions, Aspiration 35 supported a 10-camera ARRI Alexa 35 Live production featuring specialty camera positions, robotic systems and Fujinon Duvo lenses to capture performances from artists including Will Smith and The Roots.
In addition to the WPVI broadcast, the TNDV team delivered the live broadcast across multiple streaming platforms while simultaneously delivering “the rich cinematic aesthetic increasingly sought by today’s entertainment producers,” the company notes.
TNDV separately deployed an additional broadcast camera to produce the in-house IMAG feed for audience-facing stage displays.
A Fresh Take on Mobile Production
Unlike traditional mobile production units designed primarily for sports and broadcast workflows, Aspiration 35 integrates native ARRI Alexa 35 Live multicamera systems with the infrastructure typically seen in a professional production truck, including camera shading, intercom, tally, return video and recording systems.
“The result is a seamless production environment that allows directors, producers and cinematographers to capture the cinematic depth, dynamic range and image quality of digital cinema while maintaining the speed and precision required for live multicamera productions,” TNDV says.

Looking ahead, TNDV expects demand for cinematic multicamera productions to continue growing as broadcasters, streaming services, concert producers and corporate event organizers increasingly seek feature-film image quality without sacrificing the efficiency and reliability of live television production.
