With Mike Bloomberg concluding his multimillion-dollar quest to become the Democratic Party’s choice to defeat Donald Trump, a pair of insurance companies fought it out for top bragging rights on the latest Media Monitors Spot Ten TV report.

For the week ending March 8, the leading national TV advertisers by spot count were some of broadcast TV’s biggest: GEICO finished top of the heap, but ahead of Progressive by a mere 439 spots.

Completing the top five is clothing and air freshener brand Febreze, moving up six places from ninth to third.

And, there is another auto insurer in the mix, as The General went from sixth to fourth.

With his departure from the 2020 election, the Mike Bloomberg for President campaign slid to fifth place and will disappear in subsequent reports.

There were three newcomers to the top 10: Wendy’s, Walmart, and Publishers Clearing House.
