The VP of News for the two NBCU Local Telemundo Station Group properties serving Hispanics across Arizona has been appointed News Director for both the Telemundo and NBC owned-and-operated properties serving the Cradle of Liberty and the entire Delaware Valley.
Starting June 15, Noé González will lead the news department at WCAU-10 and WWSI “Telemundo 62” in Philadelphia. He reports to VP of News Elizabeth Flores.
González has been leading the news department at KTAZ-39 in Phoenix and KHRR-40 in Tucson since January 2022. He directed significant editorial innovation and multiplatform expansion at the two stations, which are simulcast partners, rising from Asst. News Director, Managing Director and Executive Producer. Before moving to Arizona, González served as ND for KULX “Telemundo Utah,” from 2019-2022.
“Noé is an experienced and dynamic leader who has consistently demonstrated his ability to elevate journalism to serve communities,” said Flores. “His passion for storytelling, commitment to excellence, and collaborative style make him an ideal leader to join our newsroom as we continue to innovate and expand our local content.”
