Until now, he has overseen all broadcast TV syndication and distribution of Allen Media Group‘s 70 television series. Now, the company owned by Byron Allen is giving him expanded duties, and he’ll also be responsible for two digital multicast networks and the HBCU GO streaming platform.

Earning the promotion to Chief Operating Officer of Broadcast Sales & Syndication is Andrew Temple, rising from President of Domestic Television Distribution.

This puts him in charge of diginets This TV and The Grio Television Network, as well as operations/distribution for AMG’s streaming platform that features football, men and women’s basketball, baseball, and track & field events associated with historically Black colleges and universities.

Temple has been associated with AMG since October 1997 and is a Veteran of the U.S. Army who served in the Persian Gulf War and Operation Desert Storm in 1990-91.

AMG’s programs include flagship weekly entertainment series “Entertainers With Byron Allen,” which debuted 30 years ago.

During Temple’s tenure, AMG has become a major producer/distributor of syndicated court programming, offering such series as “America’s Court with Judge Ross,” and offerings including Judges Cristina Perez and Lauren Lake, among others.

Allen called Temple “an outstanding executive, salesperson, and team leader. Andrew’s talent and unwavering work ethic will continue to grow our television programming syndication and broadcast network divisions for years to come.”

Temple added, “It has been an honor to work with and be personally trained and mentored by Mr. Byron Allen for the last 25 years. To be able to work and collaborate with the remarkably talented professionals at Allen Media Group has been the privilege of a lifetime.”
