Until February, she had been the senior sales leader for Estrella TV affiliates within the Hearst Television family, a role gained in November 2018. Before that, she led local and regional sales for WKCF-18.3, the Estrella TV home in Orlando.
Now, with a pending shift of the Spanish-language television network owned by MediaCo Holding Inc. to O&O properties in Central Florida, Neida Acevedo Gotay is joining Estrella Media itself.
As of today, Gotay is now VP/Integrated Sales at MediaCo. In this role, she will oversee both local and national sales operations in Orlando and Atlanta, while also leading strategic business development efforts across all Florida markets.
“She will focus on driving integrated, multi-platform revenue growth, strengthening agency and client partnerships, and ensuring local market execution aligns with MediaCo’s expanding national opportunity,” MediaCo said in a release.
MediaCo Chief Revenue Officer Brian Fisher commented, “Neida is a proven leader who understands how to bring together local market expertise with national scale. As advertisers increasingly look for integrated, multi-platform solutions, Neida’s ability to connect our local teams with national demand will be instrumental in accelerating our growth across Florida and the Southeast.”
Gotay added, “MediaCo’s portfolio and audience momentum create a powerful opportunity for brands. I’m excited to work with our teams across Orlando, Atlanta, and Florida to deepen client partnerships, unlock new growth opportunities, and bring the full strength of MediaCo’s platforms to the market.”
Her appointment comes as MediaCo will light up WDYB-CD 14 in Daytona beach on Tuesday, March 24, as Estrella TV’s new home. WDYB-14.2 will become home to the company’s new “HOT 97”-themed diginet, featuring video programming from radio asset WQHT-FM in New York.
