An Enhanced PAS-200 Passive Audio Switcher Arrives

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. — It is a product from a Westchester County-based audio technology company that is designed to elevate programmable relay audio switching in professional broadcast and audio environments.


Introducing the “newly enhanced” PAS-200 product from Broadcast Devices Inc. (BDI).

The updated product, now available to consumers, includes an Ethernet SNMPv2 interface, enabling integration with networked monitoring and control systems for advanced remote management.

It also adds an RS485 serial interface, bringing increased flexibility for remote control and automation.

The PAS-200 also boasts in its newest incarnation a redesigned Windows-based GUI remote control application. The free software offers increased functionality, intuitive group and channel configuration, and a cleaner, more modern appearance.

There are also dual power supplies and separate power cords, as the PAS-200 supports up to 16 A/B pairs of balanced analog or AES3 digital audio (nonsynchronous) and low-voltage DC control signals.

Optional remote control panel and audio breakout panels are available for expanded connectivity and control.
