A host of free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channels and The Weather Channel will continue to be available to users of the YouTube TV virtual MVPD television service, thanks to a new agreement signed by the Alphabet Inc. property with the Google subsidiary.

The carriage renewal agreement between Allen Media Group (AMG) and YouTube is a long-term arrangement, and it sees TWC, JusticeCentral, Comedy.TV, and Recipe.TV offered to YouTube TV users. Additionally, The Weather Channel and Comedy.TV networks will also be available on select YouTube TV Plans.

Free-streaming digital platform Local Now will also continue to be provided to YouTube TV subscribers.

“We are thrilled to extend our partnership with Google by continuing to provide our weather, news, comedy, court, and lifestyle networks to YouTube TV’s millions of subscribers,” Byron Allen, Founder/Chairman/CEO of Allen Media Group, said in a statement.

Emily Washkowitz, Head of TV and Film Partnerships at YouTube, added, “Our goal is to provide a consistent and diverse lineup for our subscribers, and this renewed agreement helps us maintain that commitment.”

The agreement between AMG and YouTube comes as Allen Media Group’s broadcasting arm on Friday closed on the $171 million sale, plus working capital adjustments, of broadcast TV stations to Gray Media. The transaction was approved by the FCC just 24 hours earlier, with the Media Bureau dismissing a petition for review from DirecTV.
