MIAMI — A new entry in the cloud video market has been named the cloud video platform for ViX, TelevisaUnivision’s Spanish-language streaming service. This Cloud Video Platform is poised to power AVOD, SVOD, Live, and Fast Channels for VIX, a key OTT platform for those seeking content en español.
TelevisaUnivision is now using Akta’s video platform for ViX, an app is available with two access tiers — one free with ads and one premium plan with a subscription. It is available in the U.S., Mexico, and most of Spanish-speaking Latin America.
Akta’s cloud video platform delivers content to all the device platforms and manages the video workflow, from content ingestion and channel scheduling to playback and monetization via dynamic ad insertion.
