After 28 Years, FCC Affirms Default Payment For TV Auction Participant

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Deputy Chief of the Auctions Division with the FCC‘s Office of Economics and Analytics has issued an order that assesses a default payment to an individual doing business as Pacific Bay Broadcasting for participation in a closed broadcast auction in which he received a construction permit — an event that occurred more than a quarter-century ago.


Here’s the good news: a much bigger refund is coming his way, significantly offsetting the dollars owed to the Commission.
