A Boston Area Radio Pirate’s Landlord Is Warned

Chalk up another buccaneer of broadcasting in the Dorchester area of the Boston metropolitan area that’s landed on the FCC Enforcement Bureau’s radar, putting a landlord of a property in the community on notice that an unlicensed FM must cease operations or face a steep fine.

Roy Owens could face millions of dollars in potential forfeitures to the Commission, should he fail to put the kibosh on a pirate FM signal at 91.5 MHz found by Enforcement Bureau agents to be using a property on Otisfield Street he owns.

Owens has 10 days from January 6, 2025, to respond to FCC Enforcement Bureau Region One head Dave Dombrowski.
