Rodanthe, N.C., has the privilege of being home to the easternmost point in North Carolina, and Hatteras fishing pier. It is also the locale of a 100-watt Class A FM radio station that is in the process of a transfer of control.

For $3,000, Seacoast Radio Network Corp., a Florida-based non-profit entity, is acquiring WIID-FM 88.1 in Rodanthe from Craven County SBA Inc.

Seacoast is a partnership that sees CEO Ryan Ickes hold 35% equity interest and President Danny Ickes control 45% interest. The remaining 20% interest is held by Tyler Nye, serving as Treasurer.

Once the transaction is complete, WIID will become a sibling to “The Star FM,” a “positive music” station offering Christian Adult Contemporary music to its audience.
