LG Ad Solutions, known for its connected TV (CTV) and cross-screen advertising, is replacing its acting CEO with an individual who has previously served as a co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer at Zenapse — an AI SaaS platform for dynamic marketing and CX optimization “powered by emotional intelligence and human understanding.”

Earning the post of President/CEO at LG Ad Solutions is Michael Hudes. He will also serve as a member of the company’s board of directors.

Hudes has held more than 20 roles across the last 30 years that have led to LG bringing him on board. Among his career stops is Clear Channel Outdoor, where he served as EVP and Global Director of Digital Media from 2004-2008.

He then spent six months as President of Innovation Strategy and Growth at IPG Mediabrands from San Francisco, before spending 13 months as CEO of Keystream Corporation. From there, he joined YuMe by Rhythm One, where he was EVP/Chief Revenue Officer and spent eight years.

From June 2020-November 2021 Hudes was head of growth for Lyft Media, a division of the rideshare company found across the U.S.

“Michael’s rich experience and proven track record in the digital and CTV advertising sphere makes him an invaluable addition to the LG Ad Solutions leadership team,” said LG Ad Solutions Board Chairman Matthew Durgin, Vice President at LG Electronics USA. “We’ve witnessed the strides the company has been making under the existing executive leadership team and we expect to accelerate this momentum even further with Michael at the helm.”

Hudes’s appointment comes at what the company calls a “crucial juncture” for LG Ad Solutions as the company continues to solidify its position as a Connected TV industry leader.

“I am both thrilled and honored to join LG Ad Solutions during such a transformative period for our industry,” said Hudes. “The opportunities ahead for LG Ad Solutions are vast, and I am deeply committed to steering the company into its next chapter of scale, innovation and industry leadership. Working alongside the talented team here, I am confident we can architect a future that defines success in the CTV and cross-screen advertising domain.”

Hudes succeeds acting CEO Adam Sexton, who also served as acting Chief Operating Officer. Sexton was given those duties at the end of 2022, nearly two years after LG acquired what had been known as Alphonso, as CEO Raghu Kodige and Alphonso co-founder and executive chairman Ashish Chordia were dismissed from their respective roles.

Sexton is known for his role as a GM of Gracenote, from 2014-2015, prior to its Nielsen acquisition.
